We are officially trying to recruit people to LEMI training!
What: LEMI Project Training for Mentors
Where: Mission Trails Church
4880 Zion Ave.
San Diego, CA 92120
When: July 20-22
Why: Because we want strong leaders
Thank you for your interest in United Scholar Academy. We are a commonwealth school of homeschoolers inspiring a leadership education through classics and group learning. We have classes for children from preschool through high school age. This is a great way to give your children positive social interactions, make friends, and to be around like-minded parents who are fun and exciting!
This is a great community of dedicated families. The energy and creativity of the group, and the quality of the studies completed by all ages, is impressive. The Leadership Education that we follow works to help young people choose a path in life and be prepared to take the needed steps to follow that path and change the world for the better. Join us in helping all of our children truly become the leaders of tomorrow!
You are welcome to visit us, free of charge, to see if our community is right for your family. We have a lot of people who drive great distances to meet with us each week. They feel that what we have to offer is worth it for their family. We’ve had people from Encinitas, Rancho Penasquitos, Ramona, Santee, Mira Mesa, Chula Vista, and Imperial Beach. We like to have advance notice when having visitors so that we can plan on extra supplies for activities. Kindly call us at (619) 928-2851 or email us at email@example.com to let us know if you would like to visit one Wednesday in the foreseeable future. We would love to have you!
We meet in the Allied Gardens neighborhood of San Diego at a church where we rent meeting space. We meet on Wednesdays starting at 9:15 am. Classes for younger students under 12 (ULA) go until 12:00 pm, followed by an afternoon at the park. Classes for students over 12 (USA) go until 2:00 pm. We expect a parent to be on campus with their children, helping in one of the classes.
We are an all volunteer group, however, there are costs involved to renting the building, providing insurance in case of accident or injury, and providing supplies, so we do charge fees to cover these costs. There is a once a year family fee and per semester fees. For scholars (students over 12 – USA Kids), the family fee is $100 per family, and scholar classes are $70 for one class, and $80 for two, per semester. If you only have children under 12 (ULA Kids), your family fee is $20 and each ULA class is $60 per semester, per child.
If you feel like we are a good fit for your homeschooling plans, you can formally join with us at any time during the year and if needs be we will pro-rate your fees.
To RSVP, please send an email to firstname.lastname@example.org. Also, feel free to ask questions we’ve overlooked.
